McLean County Wellness Coalition
6-Week Fitness Challenge
Join us for an exciting 6-Week Fitness Challenge sponsored by the McLean County Wellness Coalition. From April 10 – May 20, 2017, this Fitness Challenge focuses on tracking intentional exercise minutes, experiencing new places to exercise, and increasing camaraderie within our community.
Your goal is to exercise as many minutes as you can each week. Feel free to increase your exercise minutes as you progress throughout the Challenge. You can also accumulate bonus points, by exercising at one of the ‘focus of the week’ locations.
Every Monday you will be asked to submit the total minutes of exercise performed and any bonus points earned from the week prior to firstname.lastname@example.org. To help enhance your exercise experience and promote variety within your exercise program, the McLean County Wellness Coalition has developed a ‘focus of the week’ location. You can earn one bonus point for each day you exercise at the ‘focus of the week’ location during that given week. Each day = 1 bonus point. You can have up to 7 total bonus points each week. All exercise minutes count whether you exercise at the ‘focus of the week’ location or somewhere else.
Winners will be identified by the following:
- The person who has the most exercise minutes.
- The person who has the most bonus points.
- A random person drawn who has completed the 6-Week Fitness Challenge.
Celebrate with us on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Illinois State University Quad (by Schroeder Hall) from 5:30-6:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity to walk the Quad as well as meet new people as we wrap up the Fitness Challenge. Winners will be announced via email on Friday, May 27th and the awards will be hand delivered the following week.
We hope you will join us! If you have questions, please contact Erin Kennedy at email@example.com.
